Thorp of 1447 Burke St. appeared with a group of neighbors
asking information about the newspaper article for a civic cènter. He
asked several questions about the possibility of the on-sale liquor store
being located on Co. Rd. B near Pascal. He said the residents around
there did not want such an establishment so near to their homes. They
pointed out the increasing traffic~ it would create and as the school
children must walk on Co. Rd. B to Hamline to get the bus, it would be a
constant werry to the parents. This group presented a petetion signed
by these rêsidents opposed to having the on-sale liquor store location
on Co. Rd. B near Pascal. It was placed on file.

The qutestion was asked by some residents as to how the voting machines
would be paid for.
