VII..IAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE Regular meeting of the Village Council, Tuesday Jan. 4, 1955 at 2 p.m. The Village Council met on the above da.te with the following members present: Carlson, Olson, WillnlUs and Hammersten. B. H. Loftvgaarden, Attorney; lfilner Carley, Engineer; and Frank leinen, treasurer, were also present. Salverde. absent. Mayor Olson opened the meeting by thanking the Council for their fine cooperation in 1954, and added that the other Village employees did a good job also. Mr. McCoubrey and Mr. Van Krevel~f the Minnesota Highway Dept.pre- sented to the Council a resolution~approving the final layout of the changes to be made on the second làne of TH36 from the West County ~ne to Rice.St. Olson moved, sedonded by Hammersten that the resolution be a)proved. Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (0). John Kromhout presented a petition signed by a group of adjoining resi- dents opposed to the revision in the plat of Manson Hills which was dis- cussed at a previous meeting. Olson moved, Carlson seconded that the proposed replatting be referred to the Engineer and the Attorney for further checking. Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (0). Vincent Hedin, of the Dayton Construction Co., presented plans for seven (7) homes that are about 96 sq. ft. smaller than the new Juilding Code requirements. These plans were submitted some time ago, before the new Building Code became effactive, at which time they were given tenta- tive approval, but the project was delayed and no permits taken out. ~ter som e discussion it was decided that the Council could not approve these plans which do not conform to the code. The Clerk read a letter from McGough Bros., builders of St. Rose of Lima school, thanking the Council for waiving the Building Permit Fee for the Church School. ~67 'l._ Roll Call Olson thanked Council T H 36. Wegleitner full time on a full time basis be referred to Mr. Carley. Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (a).man on roaé The Clerk read a letter from the St, Paul Water Dept. certifying that the water mains laid in the Stuber addition have been installed and tested to the satisfaction of the Water Dept. Engineers. They recommended the Peter Lametti Construction Co. be reimbursed for this water main work. Mr. Carley submit.~ a letter I'8connnending the St. Paul Water Dept. be reimbursed for the job of making the connections in the Stuber Add. Hammersten moved, Olson seconded that the bills to Peter Lametti Constr, Co. and the St. Paul Water Dept. be paid and then char~ed to the benefited property owners on an assessment basis. Roll Call Ayes (4)-Hayes (0). The Clerk read a letter from the League of Minnesota Municipalities on the matter of getting legislation passed for adoption of Old Age and Survivors Insurance protection for municipal employees.
