B. H. Loftvgaarden, <br />Attorney; lfilner Carley, Engineer; and Frank leinen, treasurer, were <br />also present. Salverde. absent. <br /> <br />Mayor Olson opened the meeting by thanking the Council for their fine <br />cooperation in 1954, and added that the other Village employees did a <br />good job also. <br /> <br />Mr. McCoubrey and Mr. Van Krevel~f the Minnesota Highway Dept.pre- <br />sented to the Council a resolution~approving the final layout of the <br />changes to be made on the second làne of TH36 from the West County ~ne <br />to Rice.St. Olson moved, sedonded by Hammersten that the resolution <br />be a)proved. Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />John Kromhout presented a petition signed by a group of adjoining resi- <br />dents opposed to the revision in the plat of Manson Hills which was dis- <br />cussed at a previous meeting. Olson moved, Carlson seconded that the <br />proposed replatting be referred to the Engineer and the Attorney for <br />further checking. Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Vincent Hedin, of the Dayton Construction Co., presented plans for <br />seven (7) homes that are about 96 sq. ft. smaller than the new Juilding <br />Code requirements. Wegleitner full time <br />on a full time basis be referred to Mr. Carley. Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (a).man on roaé <br /> <br />The Clerk read a letter from the St, Paul Water Dept. certifying that <br />the water mains laid in the Stuber addition have been installed and tested <br />to the satisfaction of the Water Dept. Engineers. They recommended the <br />Peter Lametti Construction Co. be reimbursed for this water main work. <br /> <br />Mr. Carley submit.~ a letter I'8connnending the St. Paul Water Dept. be <br />reimbursed for the job of making the connections in the Stuber Add. <br />Hammersten moved, Olson seconded that the bills to Peter Lametti Constr, <br />Co. and the St. Paul Water Dept. be paid and then char~ed to the benefited <br />property owners on an assessment basis. Roll Call Ayes (4)-Hayes (0). <br /> <br />The Clerk read a letter from the League of Minnesota Municipalities on <br />the matter of getting legislation passed for adoption of Old Age and <br />Survivors Insurance protection for municipal employees.
