<br />VILIAGE OF ROSEìlILIE <br /> <br />Regular meeting of the Village Council Tuesday Karch 8, 1955 8 p.m. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with thé following members <br />present: Carlson, Salverda, Willmus and Olson. B. H. Loftsgaarden., <br />Attorney, and Frank leJhnen, Treasurer,were also present. <br /> <br />Carlson moved, Willmus seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />be approved as :¡hresented. Roll Call Ayes (4)-"'ayes (0). <br /> <br />Carlson moved, Willmus seconded that the petition to rezone the SW corner <br />of Hamline and Judith from farm residential to Commercial, be denied. <br />Roll Call Ayes (4)-riayes (0). <br /> <br />It was decided that the Clerk be authorized to write a letter to the <br />owners of the old bar.abn the property at Judith & Hamline instructing <br />them to clean up the premises immediately. <br /> <br />Mayor Olson asked if anyone wanted to be heard on the petition to rezone <br />property on Pascal Ave. So. of Rambler Rd, from farm residential to <br />Residential Class C. Mr. Landa of 2718 N. Pascal stated he thought the <br />set back on the multL-dwelling units should be further back than was <br />suggested by the zoning board which was So feet. <br />Willmus move~, Carlson seconded that the Council concur in the recommenda- <br />tions of the zoning Board. The Zonin g Board stated they felt that so <br />constructing the multi-dwellings units would create a buffer strip <br />between the Industrial propert;r to t.l19 west and the Residential property <br />to the east. It was understood by the board that the set back on Pascal <br />is to be 50 feet and the set back on Rambler Rd. a mi~umum of 33 feet. <br />Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nays (0). <br /> <br />A letter was read from the League of Women Voters co~nending the Council <br />for their action in appointing an engineering firm to study the sewage <br />system needs of Roseville. The letter was placed on file. <br /> <br />A letter was read from the Fire Underwriters Inspection Bureau. It <br />stated the probable needs of the Fire Bept. which included a 750 G.P.M. <br />pumper together with a booster tank of approximately 500 gallon capacity. <br />CarlsJn suggested the Council members meet with the Fire Chief to discuss <br />this matter further. <br /> <br />At the last meeting of the Zoning Board, it "Jas suggested that the Council <br />authorize Mr. Carley to submit the Zoning map to the Zoning Board to being <br />the platted property up to date. This was done. <br /> <br />Mr. Linder of 3067 Woodbridge thanked the Fire Dept. for the way they kept <br />the skating rinks flooded and in conditmon this winter. <br /> <br />Mayor Olson made two appointments. <br />Major Chas. McNearney as Civil Defense Director, and Yæs. Ruth Simerman <br />as a member of the Zoning Board. Carlson moved, Willmus seconded that <br />the appointments be approved. Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />A petition signed by 73 residents in the vicinity of Ivlerrill, Huron and <br />Dellwood between Co. Rd. G and Co. Rd. C2 was read. It was pertaining to <br />the dog ordinance. They wanted to have the ordinance enforced.
