<br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date:March 6, 2023 <br /> Item No.: 10.b <br />Department Approval City Manager Approval <br /> <br />Item Description: Approve 1 Temporary Liquor License, and 1Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) License <br />1 B ACKGROUND <br />2 Chapter 3 of the City Code requires all applications for business and other licenses to be submitted to the <br />3 City Council for approval. The following applications are submitted for consideration: <br />4 <br />5 Temporary Liquor License <br />6 Bent Brewstillery <br />7 1744 Terrace Dr <br />8 Roseville, MN 55113 <br />9 <br />10 Bent Brewstillery will be hosting a Crawfish Boil Event on May 27, 2023. This is their third event in 2023, <br />11 their total number of days is 3 out of the limit of 12 for the calendar year. <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) Products License <br />15 Blume Brauhaus, LLC dba Bent Brewstillery <br />16 1744 Terrace Dr <br />17 Roseville, MN 55113 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 Blume Brauhaus, LLC dba Bent Brewstillery have submitted application materials for a <br />21 Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) License. Chapter 316 of the City Code permits a maximum of 8 <br />22 Tetrahydrocannabinol Products Licenses within the city. If both are approved, the total number of THC <br />23 licenses issued will be 5. <br />24 <br />25 P OLICY O BJECTIVE <br />26 Required by City Code <br />27 B UDGET I MPLICATIONS <br />28 The revenue that is generated from the license fees is used to offset the cost of police compliance checks, <br />29 background investigations, enforcement of liquor laws, and license administration. <br />30 R ACIAL E QUITY I MPACT S UMMARY <br />31 NA <br />32 S TAFF R ECOMMENDATION <br />33 Staff has reviewed the application(s) and has determined that the applicant(s) meet all City requirements. <br />34 Staff recommends approval of the license(s), subject to successful background investigation(s). <br /> <br />
