See Figure <br />175 1012-3. <br />176 Figure 1012-3: Bluff Impact Zone <br />177 BLUFF, TOE OF: The lower point of a 50-foot segment with an average slope exceeding 18 <br />178 percent or the ordinary high water level, whichever is higher. <br />179 BLUFF, TOP OF: For the purposes of measuring setbacks, bluff impact zone, and administering <br />180 vegetation management standards, the higher point of a 50-foot segment with an average slope <br />181 exceeding 18 percent. <br />182 BOATHOUSE: A facility as defined by Minnesota Statutes, Section 103G.245. <br />183 BUFFER: A vegetative feature as defined by Minnesota Statutes, Section 103F.48. <br />184 BUILDING LINE: A line parallel to a lot line or the ordinary high water level at the required <br />185 setback beyond which a structure may not extend. <br />186 CONTROLLED ACCESS LOT: A lot used to access public waters or as a recreation area for <br />187 owners of nonriparian lots within the same subdivision containing the controlled access lot. <br />188 COMMERCIAL USE: The principal use of land or buildings for the sale, lease, rental, or trade of <br />189 products, goods, and services. <br />190 COMMISSIONER: The commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources. <br />191 CONDITIONAL USE: Conditional use. A land use or development as defined by ordinance that <br />192 would not be appropriate generally but may be allowed with appropriate restrictions upon a <br />193 finding that certain conditions as detailed in the zoning ordinance exist, the use or development <br />194 conforms to the comprehensive land use plan of the community, and the use is compatible with <br />195 the existing neighborhood. <br />196 DWELLING SITE: A designated location for residential use by one or more persons using <br />197 temporary or movable shelter, including camping and recreational vehicle sites. <br />198 INDUSTRIAL USE: The use of land or buildings for the production, manufacture, warehousing, <br />199 storage, or transfer of goods, products, commodities, or other wholesale items. <br />Page 7 of 32 <br /> <br />
