Karen Organization of Minnesota Attachment E <br />City of Roseville ARPA Grant Application <br />Application Submitted: 2/17/2023 <br /> <br /> <br />KOM is requesting $10,000 from the Roseville ARPA grant to support KOM’s Transportation Logistics <br />training program in: <br /> <br />1. $6,000 = Stipends for 6 Roseville residents to complete Forklift and CDL training. <br />2. $2,400 = Forklift training fees (Saint Paul College) <br />3. $1,200 = Discretionary client support (housing, food, utilities, work attire, etc.) <br />4. $400 = Participant and employer outreach costs (staff mileage reimbursement, printing, mailing, <br />etc.) <br /> <br />Additional program costs, including staff time, ABE instructors, tuition fees, and client support, will be <br />paid through DEED contracts and East Side Employment xChange funding. Funds from the City of <br />Roseville will allow KOM to extend this training opportunity to Roseville residents and strengthen <br />support for Roseville employers in need of qualified workers.
