<br />VILLAGE CO'jNCTL OF ROSEVILLE <br />Regular meeting Tuesday May 17, 1955 2 p. m. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members <br />present; Carlson, Salverda, Olson and Willmus. Hammersten absent. <br /> <br />Carlson moved, Willmus seconded that the minutes of the Mac loth meet- <br />ing be apprmved. Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Willmus moved, Carlson seconded the Council reject the bids on the <br />Police car, because of an error in the specifications, ahd readvertise <br />with the bids to be opened Junè 7th. Roll Call Ayes (3)-Nayes (1). <br />Salverda opposed. <br /> <br />Mr. Brennan submitted a plat located on So. shore of Lake Owasso. <br />Olson moved, Carlson seconded the plat be referred to the Engineer. <br />Roll Cdl Ayes (4)_hayes (0). <br /> <br />}~. Nilva, of Paster Enterprises, and Mr. Hocksprung of 1067 Dionne St. <br />again asked ~or the rezoning of 150 ft. on Lexington Ave. south of <br />Roma St. The Council previously had stated they wanted the developers <br />to hold a 50 ft. set-back on Roma. Willmus stated he didn't think <br />it fair to hold off rezoning on the west side of Lexington and rezone <br />east of Lexington. Olson moved, Carlson seconded the matter be held <br />over till June 7th when the rezoning of Victor Swanson's property, on <br />the west side of Lexington, comes up for discussion. Roll Call Ayes <br />(h)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Þ~ter a short discussion, Carlson moved, Willmus seconded that the <br />resolution presented by the Minn. State Hwgy. Dept. for the closing <br />of Western Ave. at TH 36 be adopted. RoLL Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />A letter was read fron the Euilding Inspector in regard to set-backs <br />on corner lots. Wallace Bentley, contrac or, appeared before the <br />Council in recard to the same matter. Both he and the Building Inspec. <br />agreed it was OK to hold 30 ft. set-backs on corner lots where the <br />lots in a plat face two streets, but when the lots are back to back <br />a 15 ft. set-back is more reasonable. Carlson moved, Willmus seconded <br />the Attorney be authorized to draw up an amendment to the ordinance <br />regulating set-backs. Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Olson moved, Willmus seconded that Mr. Nassif fro3 the Depot Nité Club <br />be given permission to erect a partition that can be locked so they <br />can serve food after the bar is closed. Roll C ,II Ayes (4) -Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Carlson moved, Willmus seconded that Jack Adamson be ~iven permission <br />to erect a cement block garage on his property at Larpenteur and <br />Fernwoo.. Xoll Call Ayes (4)_Nayes (0). <br /> <br />A plat was submitted for the Aladdin Homesites. It was held over for <br />further study. <br /> <br />A petition was received for 2 street liehts on }lildred Drive. Willmus <br />mov8d, Carlson seconded the Village contract Northern States Power <br />to install 2 lihts on either end of ¥lildred Drive.
