Attachment B <br />CHAPTER 202 <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />SECTION: <br />202.01:Establishment and Membership <br />202.02:Meetings and Reports <br />202.03:Preparation of Comprehensive Plan <br />202.04:Procedure for Adoption of City Comprehensive Plan <br />202.05:Adoption of City Comprehensive Plan by City Council <br />202.06:Means of Executing Plan <br />202.07:Zoning Code and City Comprehensive Plan <br />202.01: ESTABLISHMENT AND MEMBERSHIP: <br />ACityPlanningCommission fortheCityis herebyestablished, which shall be subject to Chapter <br />201 of the City Code. ThePlanningCommission shall betheCityplanningagencyand shall have <br />thepowersand dutiesgiven suchagenciesgenerallybyMinnesotaStatutes, sections 462.351 <br />through462.364,asamended,andasconferred upon it bythis Chapter.(Ord. 194, 4-19-1955; 1995 <br />Code) <br />ThePlanningCommission shallconsist ofsevenmembersappointedbytheCityCouncil. <br />202.02:MEETINGS AND REPORTS: <br />The Commission shall holdat least one regular meeting each month. It shall keep a record of its <br />resolutions, transactions, and findings, which shall be a public record. (Ord. 194, 4-19-1955; 1995 <br />Code) <br />202.03: PREPARATION OF COMPREHENSIVE PLAN: <br />It shall bethefunction and dutyofthePlanningCommission to prepareandrecommend a <br />ComprehensiveCityPlanforthedevelopment oftheCity, includingproposed publicbuildings, <br />streetarrangements, publicutilityservices,parks,playgroundsand othersimilardevelopments, <br />theuseofproperty, thedensityofpopulation andothermattersrelatingtothedevelopment ofthe <br />City.SuchPlan maybeprepared in sections, eachofwhich shallrelateto amajorsubject ofthe <br />plan,as outlined in theCommission's program ofwork.(Ord. 194, 4-19-1955; 1995 Code) <br />202.04PROCEDUREFORADOPTIONOFCITYCOMPREHENSIVE <br />PLAN: <br />ThePlanningCommission may,atanytime,recommend to theCityCouncil, theadoption ofthe <br />CityComprehensivePlan,anysection ofit oranysubstantialamendment thereof.Beforemaking <br />suchrecommendation to theCityCouncil, thePlanningCommission shallholdat least one <br />publichearing,as providedforinChapter108ofthis Code. Therecommendation bythe <br />PlanningCommission totheCityCouncil shall bebyaresolution oftheCommission, approved <br />ths <br />bytheaffirmativevotesofnot less than 5/7ofits total membership.
