Climate Change and Emissions Baseline <br />2. Policy overview, Project Introductions <br />3. Inflation Reduction Act, Intro to policy brief <br />4. Net Zero Scenarios including MN <br />5. Electrify Everything scenarios <br />6. Obstacles - Policy and Personal (Mental Health) <br />7. Pull it together into an action plan <br />8. Final plan and presentation <br />In Addition, there is a parallel track of the "Accelerating Change" Framework which the instructor <br />has developed over the course of GCC and Acara courses. This includes basic tools for <br />changemakers including - Design Thinking, Theory of Change, Value Proposition, <br />Communications and Funding. <br />Grading and Major Assignments <br />Final Project <br />The final project for this class will involve creating a set of policy recommendations,working with <br />cities from the MN Gold Leaf Pilot or with the University of MN. These potential projects will be <br />described in the first few weeks of class and students will rank their choices. <br />There are a number of things you will need to do: <br />• Determine who the appropriate agencies and contacts are for your issue. (Stakeholders). <br />Interviews with possible stakeholders are encouraged. <br />• Describe the problem and its current context. <br />Page 45 of 185 <br />
