Roseville Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />DATE: April 25, 2023 ITEM: 7.a. <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: Speed Limits Update <br />Background <br />At the September and November 2022 PWETC meetings, staff presented information about <br />speed limits on city streets. Since that time, staff has gathered more information in response <br />to questions posed by the Council and Commission. <br />At this meeting, staff will briefly review information previously presented, touch on the <br />questions posed, and propose next steps. Additionally, information will be shared about the <br />MnDOT adopted Minnesota Statewide Speed Limit Vision and the newly released Guidelines <br />for Determining Speed Limits on Municipal Roadways from the Local Road Research Board <br />(LRRB). Staff asks the Commission to provide feedback on the information provided and give <br />input on proposed next steps. <br />Recommendation <br />Receive presentation and provide feedback on the information and the proposed next steps <br />related to potential changes to city roadway speed limits. <br />Attachments <br />1.
