VILIAGE OF ROOJ:.'VIJ..J.E Regular meeting of the Village Council Tuesday August 2, 1955 2 p.m. The Village COWlcil met on the above date with the following members present: Carlsob, Salverda, Olson, Willmus and Hammersten. B. H Lof'tsgaarclen, attorney; and Milner C81'ley, Engineer, were also present. Willmus moved, Carlson seconded the min~tes of th~ previous meeting be approved as presented. Roll Call Ayes t.5)-Nqes W). Hammersten moved, Olson seconded the bids on the Fire Truck be opened; Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nqes ~O). They were as follows: Coyer Co. 19,150 Howe Fire Apparatus 15,688 Fire Truck bids Ward LaFrance 16,626 F. W. D. 19,129 Olson moved, Wil1m11s seconded the bids be turned over to a committee to report back at the next meeting. Mayor Olson appointed the committee to consist of Willmus, Carley, Lyncà and Hammersten. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). The Clerk read a letter from Ramsey Co. Sb.erttt Tom Gibbons and one from ltpseville Chief Ray Geneau in regard to the arrest of Certis Taylor and Wf11i.ams. The Council decided to wait \Ultil the next meeting or 10 days to take any action. A petition was received for rezoning from farm residential to COlIIDI.ercial property at Co. Rd. D & Highway 8. Olson moved, Hammersten seconded the petition be referred to the planning commission. Roll Call Ayes (5) ftayes CfI¡). Robert Forliti asked permission to build a house on the comer of Bayview Dri va and N. McCarrens Blvd. The lot is an odd shaped lot as it is on the corner and he cannot hold a 30 ft. setback on 3 sides. Olson moved, Carlson seconded Robert Forliti be allowed to build on this lot. Roll Call Ayes (4LNayes (1). Hammersten opposed. A letter was received from Marrinan Poultry Farm stating they would do everything in their power to keep their premises clean. Placed on file. Hammersten moved, Olson seconded the Attorney be authorized to dnpJ up an o~ance pertaining to a weigh station in the village. Roll Call Ayes (5)-ft~es (G). The Clerk read a letter from Hatfield-Cobb Inc. asking permission to 1:åstall 60 amp serv. on 20 homes the,. have already sold. The Village ordinance requires 100 amp. serv. The Council authorized the clerk to write Ratfield-Cobb a letter stating that 100 amp. serve must be put in ¡' these homes as tbè wiring is not as yet installed. The Clerk was authorized to write a letter to the Platting Commission telling them. that tentative approval had been iiven to Karral Shores (Warren Brennan's ) Addition. Hammersten moved, Olson seconded the attorney be instruct.ed to change a part of the Fire Dept. Ord. /I 124 Section 8. This is to change the required age from 55 years t.o 65 years. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). The Engineer recommended the streets in C. W. Michaels 4th Add. be acceptjd for mainianance.
