Attachment 1 <br />lei <br />Public Works Department <br />Memo <br />To: Public Works Environmental and Transportation Commission Members <br />From: Jennifer Lowry, City Engineer <br />Date: May 18, 2023 <br />Re: Communications Items <br />The following are updates to projects and other activities happening in Roseville since the last <br />commission meeting: <br />Public Works Project updates: <br />• Villa Storm Water Improvements <br />o Kevitt Companies will replace outlet by end of June. <br />o Restoration of site and trail are complete. <br />• 2023 PMP <br />o Awarded to T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. on May 8. <br />o Construction starts in June, date TBD. <br />• Long Lake Lift Station <br />o Bids opened May 16 and recommended to award to Pember Companies on <br />May 22. <br />• McCarron's Retaining Wall <br />o One bid opened May 16 and recommended to reject on May 22. <br />• Water Tower Painting <br />o Power was lost to the water tower while preparing for painting. New <br />underground service has been installed. Other repairs in process, including <br />installation of backup pressure sensor. <br />o Water tower drained, undergoing maintenance and painting repairs. <br />• 2023 Pathways <br />o Bid opening scheduled for May 30. <br />• 5 intems starting over next few weeks. <br />Ramsey County Updates: <br />• Ramsey County Mill and Overlays & ADA Upgrades <br />o Permanent pavement markings are nearing completion. <br />• Environmental Service Center (NE comer of Larpenteur & Kent). <br />o Project preliminary review and permitting. <br />MnDOT Updates: <br />• TH 36 Ramps at Hamline Construction <br />o Began construction April 17 and substantial completion expected next week. <br />Page 11 of 29 <br />
