Roll Call Aps (S)-Bayes (0). <br /> <br />HaniD Vanett of 264, Galtier stated to the Council that he felt the <br />Village was in need of a Plastering Inspector. He was told that was under <br />the duties of the &Ji1di1'\g Inspector. <br /> <br />Carl !ein from the Sheehy Construe. Co. asked the Council for permission <br />te construct the footings tor the proposed shopping center on Larpenteur Ave <br />west of ~xington. HlÅ“nersten moved, Carlson seconded the Sheehy Constr. Co. <br />be given a permit tor the footings for this center. Roll Ayes (S)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Council received a letter from the attorney tor Wm. & Dorothy Boese of <br />2088 B. Victoria advising BoseTille that a lawsuit has been instituted <br />against the Roberts Constru. Co. to obtain damages for lateral support on <br />the Boese property. <br /> <br />Willmus moved, Carlson seconded the date be set for opening ot bids for a <br />new Heating System for the Village Hau. That date was set as Sept. 13, 19" <br />at 8 B. M. Roll Ayes (S)-Iayes (0). <br /> <br />The Council received a letter from the Roseville Business Men's Ass 'n noting <br />the home building next to Industrial property near Co. Rd.. C & Fairview. <br />It was discussed and. then placed on file. <br /> <br />Hrs. Dean Hedberg of the League of Women Voters asked it an ordinance <br />could be drawn up prohibiting homes to be built on Industrial or Commercial <br />property. She stated some cOlllD1Ul1ities have such an ordinance although it <br />is not m01ll1 if it would stand up in court, as it has never been tested. <br />Olson JIIOVed, HamlDersten seconded the attorney be instructed to draw up an <br />ordinance in regard to building of homes on industrial or commercial <br />property. Roll Ayes (S)-Na,-es (0). <br /> <br />The Clerk read a report from the Police Dept. on a call they received about <br />railroad coaches located on Co. Rd. C between tice and Western. The <br />building inspector had iavestigated the situatioB and it was reported the <br />O11Iler had. been con"tated and the coaches wouJ.d be takeJI. c.. of. <br /> <br />Olson moved, Hammersten seconded the resolution be adopted åo accept the <br />contract with the Financial Agents .for the proposed. Sanitary Sewer Project.. <br />Peterson & Popovich. Roll Call Ayes (')-I".e8 (0). <br /> <br />It was decided that copies of letters from the Attorney and Engineer should <br />be sent to Geo. Reiling and his attorney James Finle,. in regard to the in- <br />stallation of water u.ins by the Rosevi1le Water Dept. Inc. <br /> <br />Mr. Eling Bolstad appeared before the COUDcil in reprd to the setting of <br />grade stakes on Transit & Simpson in Verde Haven Addition. He was assured <br />the stakes would be set and a culvert raisecl. <br /> <br />Olson moved, Carlson seconded the clerk be authori;ed to puràhase a mimeograph <br />machine for the office.
