<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILIE <br />Regular meeting of the Village Council Tuesday September aQ, 1955 2 p.m. <br /> <br />The Village C01mcil met on the above date with the following members present: <br />Carlson, Salverda, Olson, ~il1Ju.us and Ha.mm.ersten. B. H. Loftsgaarcien, <br />attorney; and Don Darley, ~gineer, were also presen_ <br /> <br />Olson moved, Wil1mus seconded the minutes of the previous meeting be approved <br />as presented. Boll Ayes (5)...Nqes (0). <br /> <br />The matter of rezoning a parcel of land for C. Mickelson at Hwy 8 and Co. <br />Rd. D was discussed by the Council and several of the residents adjoining <br />this property. After discussion Olson moved, Hammersten seconded the re- <br />zoning of this property be tabled. Roll ayes (S)-N'ayes (0). <br /> <br />Carlson moved, Olson seconded that Mr. Hansen of 138.3 Rambler Rd.. be given <br />permission to erect a garage with a set-back of about 16 ft. on Sheldon. <br />Roll Ayes (5)..Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Willmus moved, Carlson seconded that Edw. Olson be allowed to hold a 15 ft. <br />set-back on Wheeler St. with his house facing Hillvooci. Roll Call Ayes (4) <br />B,... (0)- Olson not voting. <br /> <br />Cliff 1mld reported to the Council on his findings in the atter of the <br />Village obtaining property at the east end of Burke near Victoria for drain- <br />age purposes. His report was rderred to the -,gineer. <br /> <br />Olson moved, Carlson seconded that all of the licenses issued to Nick Hartung <br />of t~ Depot Bite Club be revoked. Boll Ayes (5)·Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Clerk read a letter from the j.._-~ Highway Dept. on the matter of the <br />drainage problem at Roselawn and Lexington. The letter stated that a larger <br />sized culvert should be installed under Ùtxington to take care of the water <br />flowing to the west. Hammersten moved, Olson seconded the matt1r be re- <br />ferred to the Village Engineer for fu:cther study. Roll Ayes (5. -lfYS8 (0). <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Olson seconded the Clerk œ authorized to advertise for <br />bids :for :fencing to be installed around the Villa~e oil tanksi these bids <br />to be opened on October 11 at 8 P. 11. Roll Ayes (5)-Nayes (OJ. <br /> <br />Mr. Vang-l519 Jlaond St.- notified the Council that he wanted to diTide <br />Lots. 14 & 15 on Chatsworth, north of Larpenteur, to make 4 lots. He would <br />have to give .30 feet on the west end of these lots to the roadway which he <br />said he would do. Atter some arrangement is made for this street, he wouti <br />be allowed to divide these lots and obtain building pemits for same. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Carlson secoDded the Li~or Store Employees receive a <br />5¢ an hour raise and the store ~er a $10.00 a wønth raise, both effective <br />October 1, 1955. Bids to be opened on <br />October 11, 1955 at 8 P. M.
