Page 2 of 2 <br />requirements and a draft agreement has been reached (attachment A). 31 <br />Work on the survey would be planned to commence soon after authorization and would likely take ten 32 <br />to twelve weeks to complete. 33 <br />As the EAB program concludes over the next couple of years, the data will be updated in real-time to 34 <br />ensure an up-to-date data set at the conclusion of the Accelerated EAB Program. 35 <br />POLICY OBJECTIVE 36 <br />To strategically manage Roseville’s urban forest and utilize grant funding to maximize the impact or 37 <br />City dollars. 38 <br />BUDGET IMPLICATIONS 39 <br />The total cost of the tree survey is up to $58,940. $50,000 would be paid for using an MN DNR 40 <br />Preparing for Emerald Ash Borer Grant, the remaining $8,940 would be paid for using funds budgeted 41 <br />for forestry in the 2023 Park Improvement Program. 42 <br />RACIAL EQUITY IMPACT SUMMARY 43 <br />Research shows that nationwide many neighborhoods of color have significantly less tree cover than 44 <br />more white neighborhoods.
