Street Name Change Policy - Draft <br />168 Public Works Director Jesse Freihammer explained the City has received a request <br />169 from residents to change the street name of the segment of County Road B west of <br />170 Cleveland Avenue. The portion is scheduled for reconstruction next year. <br />171 <br />172 There was no concern about the proposed name change request from the <br />173 Commission. <br />174 <br />175 Member Hodder moved, Member Mueller seconded, supporting the policy <br />176 changes draft as presented in the agenda packet. <br />177 <br />178 Ayes:4 <br />179 Nays:0 <br />180 Motion carried. <br />181 <br />182 8. Prep for Joint Council Meeting <br />183 Public Works Director Jesse Freihammer explained the Commission is scheduled <br />184 for its annual joint meeting with the City Council on July 10, 2023. He asked the <br />185 Commission to create a list of topics to discuss with the City Council. He noted <br />186 staff will include them in the July 10, 2023 Council packet. <br />187 <br />188 Member Luongo thought the Commission should talk about Less Mow May. <br />189 <br />190 Chair Ficek indicated he would like to add that as a potential future topic of their <br />191 mowing ordinance. This is a question for the Council. <br />192 <br />193 Member Hodder thought the Commission could talk about some of the <br />194 sustainability efforts that have been made during the year that have taken place. <br />195 Some of the things that Ms. Bakken and Mr. Johnson have done over the year that <br />196 the Commission has discussed. <br />197 <br />198 Chair Ficek thought the Commission could talk about their super meetings. He <br />199 thought the transit update was a good thing to mention to the Council. He really <br />200 appreciated the updates the Commission has talked about. The staff updates the <br />201 Commission receives are extremely valuable. <br />202 <br />203 Mr. Freihammer reviewed some of the topics that have been discussed during the <br />204 year with the Commission. <br />205 <br />206 Member Hodder thought utilities and utility rates would be another topic to discuss. <br />207 <br />208 Mr. Freihammer thought under the recommended actions for Council list were <br />209 some items that he could remember and wondered if the Commission had any other <br />210 items to add. <br />211 <br />212 The Commission did not have any additions. <br />Page 5 of 7 <br />Page 7 of 76 <br />
