The issue is essentially what the Council is doing is <br /> allowing staff to approve and if it gets denied it will be appealed and then it will go <br /> before the City Council. <br /> Councilmember Schroeder thought this was a good proposal on what the City <br /> should do for an ordinance. She was in favor of how this is written and makes a lot <br /> of sense to her. <br /> Mayor Roe appreciated the information from staff <br /> 8. Approve Minutes <br /> Comments and corrections to draft minutes had been submitted by the City Council prior <br /> to tonight's meeting and those revisions were incorporated into the draft presented in the <br /> Council packet. <br /> a. Approve July 24, 2023 City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> Etten moved, Groff seconded, approval of the July 24, 2023 City Council Meeting <br /> Minutes as presented. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Groff, Strahan, Etten, and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> Abstain: Schroeder. <br /> b. Approve August 7, 2023 City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> Groff moved, Schroeder seconded, approval of the August 7, 2023 City Council <br /> Meeting Minutes as presented. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Groff, Schroeder, and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> Abstain: Etten, Strahan. <br /> 10.
