<br />VILLA.GE OF ROSEVILIE <br />Regular meeting of the Vi1la.ge Council Tuesday Nov. 15th, 1955 2 p.m. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members <br />present; Carlson, Salverda, Olson, Willmus and Ha.mmersten. B. H <br />loftsgaarden, attorney, was also present~ <br /> <br />Carlson moved, Olson seconded the minutes of Nov. 1 be approved. Roll <br />Call Ayes (5)-N~es (0). <br /> <br />Mr. Tricol, from Kinkead & Associates of Chicago-PIJofessional Planners, <br />spote to the Council about Planning in Roseville, and pointed out several <br />interesting points. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission recommended the tentative approval of the Roselawn <br />Acres Plat. The Council agl'eed to hold over their decision till the meeting <br />on Tuesday Nov. 22 at 8 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Popovich, fiscal agent for the Sanitary Sewer project, and Roger Short <br />and Hr. Banister, from the Banister Engineering Co. discussed the sewer <br />project. <br />Hammersten moved, Carlson seconded a resolution be adopted to proceed <br />with Plan 1 of the sewer project which would extend from Rice St. to just <br />east of Cleveland and as far north as Hwg. 36. There will be a public <br />hearing on Dec. 14, 1955 8 :p.m. at the Alexander Ramsey High School. <br />Roll Ca_ Ayes (5)-J.'iayes (0). <br /> <br />sewer <br />project <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Olson seconded the matter of rezoning from Farm Resi- <br />dential to Industrial Tract 8 near Cleveland & Co. Rd. D be reconsidered. <br />Roll Call Ayes (5)-N¿¡res (0). <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Olson seconded the date for the rehearing of this rezonigg <br />be set for Nov. 22, 1955 at 8 p.m. Roll Ca_l Ayes (5)-~~es (0). <br /> <br />Geo. Reiling and his attorney Mr. Finley discussed his Water Dept. with <br />the a..riwi:i Codncil. It was tentatively deciùed that we would charge <br />$2.00 for each house connection and the amount of the bond he mould <br />carry to be $3,000. <br />Olson moved, Willmus seconded that informal approval be givwn to their <br />resolution to be rewritten as to proper language and proper form and then <br />to be checked by the Village Attorney-" and then submitted to the CoiAncil <br />for final approval. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Geo. <br />Reiling <br /> <br />There was a discussion with Reiling He: Purchase of land. <br />Willmus moved, Hammersten seconded we negotiate to purchase 3 acres of land <br />.. $4,000 an acre ad~acent to the present Village Hall from Geo. Reiling. <br />Roll Call Ayes (5)- ayes 10). <br /> <br />Carlson moved, Hammerøten seconded an ordinance be adopted to raise the <br />pay of Village officials: <br />$20.00 month increase for Trustee <br />$50.00 month increase for Mayor <br />Roll Call Ayes (5)..Nayes (0). . <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Carlson seconded the letter from Mr. Schutlle in reference <br />to gog nuisances be referred to the dog catcher. Roll Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br />
