<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILIE <br />Regula.11 meeting of the Village Council of Roseville,Wed. Dec. 7, 1955 2 pm. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above da§e with the following members <br />present: Salverda, Carlson, Olson, Willmus and Hammersten. B. H. <br />Loftsgaarden, attorney¡ and Don Carley, Engineer, were also present. <br /> <br />Carlson moved, Willmus seconded the minutes be approved as presented. <br />Roll Call Ayes On-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Curtis Bjorkkäa~asked the Council if he could get a building permit <br />for a lot at the east end of Sherran St. <br />Hammers~en moved, Olson seconded a permit be issued providing Mr. <br />Bjor~dsigns the necessary easements to be prepared by the Village <br />Engineer. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Olson moved, Willmus seconded the following described property be re- <br />Boned from Farm. Residential to Business. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes fo). <br />Lots 1 and 2 and the North 30 feet of Lot 3, Shady Beach Add. <br /> <br />Mr. Erickson from the National Cash Register Co. demonstrated a cash <br />register to the Council and quoted a price of $490. for a machine. <br /> <br />The Burroughs Corporation quoted a price on a cash register at $394.80. <br /> <br />Olson moved, Hammersten seconded the Clerk be authorized to purchase <br />a .... cash register from the Burroughs Corp. at a price of $394.80. <br />Roll Call Ayes (þ)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Don Roberts from Roberts Constru. Co. presented a plat to the Council. <br />It is in the area east of Hamline and south of the Railroad tracks near <br />Co. Rd. C. <br />Hammersten moved, Carlson seconded it be held over for two weeks till <br />Dec. 20. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Clerk read. a letter from the Minnesota Highway Dept. in which they <br />stated they would make the 16 hour density count at Lexington Ave. and <br />Co. Rd. B to find out if the traffic there warrants a traffic signal. <br /> <br />Olson moved, Ha.mmersten sedonded that the Civil Defense Director, <br />Steve Zeece, be authorized to make the necessary purchases for the <br />Rescue Squad of the Civil Defense. Roll Call Ayes (5) Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Carlson moved, Willmus seconded the Council recognize Local # 49 åo <br />act as bargaining agent for the men on the Road maintenance crew. <br />Roll C~ Ayes (3)-Nayes (2)- Salverda & Hammersten opposed. <br /> <br />The Lawrence Sign Co. quoted a price for a sign :tor the Snelling Hub <br />Liquor Store. The Council decided to let another firm quote a price <br />before making a decision. <br /> <br />Carlson moved, Hammersten tleconded that the St. Anthony Park State Bank <br />be required to furnish securities for the $220,000 the Village has <br />on deposit there in the Municipal Operating and Sinking Fund.
