EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 9th day of October, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. The following members were present: Etten, Schroeder, Groff, Strahan, and Roe; and the following members were absent: None. Member Strahan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 12024 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM THE ROSEVILLE POLICE FOUNDATION OF FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF A COVERT CAMERA AND ACCESSORIES WHEREAS, the City of Roseville is generally authorized to accept donations of real and personal property for the benefit of its residents pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 465.03; WHEREAS, the Roseville Police Foundation has offered to donate to the City funds in the amount of $6,690.00 for the purchase of a covert camera and accessories as part of the Roseville Police Department's human trafficking investigations initiative. Covert camera systems have become valuable tools, providing enhanced investigative support to police operations to help solve crimes and improve the quality of life in the city of Roseville; WHEREAS, the above-referenced donation has no further conditions on its acceptance; WHEREAS, the donation is contributed to the City for the benefit of its residents; and, WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is appropriate to accept the donation offered. NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Roseville City Council, on behalf of the City of Roseville, Minnesota,hereby accepts the gift of the donation described herein. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Etten, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Etten, Schroeder, Groff, Strahan, and Roe; and the following voted against the same: WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
