CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1644 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING §1001.10 (DEFINITIONS) and §1011.12 <br /> (ADDITIONAL STANDARDS FOR SPECIFIC USES IN ALL DISTRICTS) <br /> OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE <br /> The City Council of the City of Roseville does ordain: <br /> SECTION 1. §1001.10 Definitions is hereby amended to add the following definitions: <br /> Micro Unit: A mobile residential dwelling providing permanent housing within a sacred <br /> community that meets the requirements of Minnesota State Statutes 327.30, subdivision <br /> 4. <br /> Sacred Community: A residential settlement established on or contiguous to the <br /> grounds of a religious institution's primary worship location primarily for the purpose <br /> of providing permanent housing for chronically homeless persons, extremely low-income <br /> persons, and designated volunteers that meets the requirements of Minnesota State <br /> Statutes 327.30, subdivision 3. <br /> SECTION 2. Section 1011.12 (Additional Standards for Specific Uses in All Districts) is <br /> hereby amended to add the following standard: <br /> C. Civic and Institutional Uses: <br /> 1. Church, Religious Institution: <br /> a. A facility established after the effective date of this ordinance within a predominantly <br /> residential or mixed-use area shall have vehicular access to a collector or higher <br /> classification street. <br /> b. Micro-Unit Dwellings in Sacred Communities are permitted accessory uses in <br /> all zoning districts consistent with the requirements of Minnesota State Statutes <br /> 327.30. <br /> SECTION 3. Effective Date. This ordinance amendment to the Roseville City Code shall <br /> take effect upon passage and publication. <br /> Passed this 23 day of October, 2023. <br />
