They formally invited the Parks and Recreation Commissioners to walk in the <br />21Rosefest Parade to advertise commission recruitment. <br />22 <br />233) PRESENTATION OF MINNESOTA RECREATION AND PARKS ASSOCIATION (MRPA) <br />24AWARD OF EXCELLENCE <br />25Staff introduced Jason Hicks, the Parks and Recreation Assistant Director for the City of New <br />26Brighton, MN who was presenting the award on behalf of the MRPA. <br />27 <br />28Hicks provided background on the MRPA, the Awards Committee and the Award of Excellence <br />29program. The City of Roseville was awarded an Award of Excellence in the Sponsorships and <br />30Partnerships category for the Healing Garden project that was done at the Muriel Sahlin Arboretum <br />31in 2022. <br />32 <br />33Director Johnson acknowledged staff members Anderson, Taylor and Sullivan as well as the Ramsey <br />34County Master Gardeners for their initiative and commitment to the project <br />35 <br />364) APPROVAL OF MINUTES MAY 2, 2023 MEETING <br />37 <br />38Commissioner Boulton moved to approve the minutes.
