VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLJ~ Regular meeting of the Village Council was held Tuesday, December 20- 2 P.h.. The Village Council met on the above date with the following members present: Salverda, Carlson, Olson and Hammersten. B. H. Loftsgaarden attorney: and Don Carley, engineer; were also present. Willmus absent. ) . Harrm~rsten moved, seconded by Carlson the bids on Fihish Hardware be ..,"''''l,i.....a opened. Roll call. Ayes (4)*Nayes (0) . One bid was received at a price of $755.00. Hammersten moved, Olson secanded the bid be referred to the arcbitect for tabulating. Roll call. Ayes(4)-Nayes(0).. A resolution was received from Geo. ßeiling in regard to his water dept. Olson moved, llammersten seconded the resolution be adopted and filed. Roll call. Ayes(4)-Nayes(0).. Mayor Olson asked if anyone wanted to be heard on the pending assessment flir the installation of the water mB.in in the following streets in Stuber and Oak Valley Addition; Waterworks Road, Stuber Rd., Alameda and Roma Streets. When there was no one who was epposed, Hammersten moved, Olson seconded the assessments be put on the tax rolls. Roll call: Äyes(4)-Nayes(0). Clifford Lund, speaking for Roberts Const. Co. showed the Council a petition they had circulated in order to get their property rezoned to Industrial. This property lies east of Hamline to about Dellwood and ~outh of the N.P.R.R. tracks. They could not get enough signatures to make 50% on the petition. Hr. Lund was told that a planner was to come into Roseville after the first of the year and perhaps this plat can be dis- cussed at the time. ) Tom Lynch of the ~llerbee Co., architects for the State Farm Nutual Bldg., apolligized to the Council for his attitude at the Public meeting on sewers held Dec. 14. He sta.ted a.t that time they were apposed to the sewer at this time, but he wanted it on record that he was not apposed to the sewer project. The Village Attorney suggested that since his statement from the Public Heeting was alreaqy on record he should submit a certified letter stating he was not opposed and this letter wm.1ld be attached to the record., He stated this will be done. The Clerk read a letter from St. Paul in regard to the reading of the Sewer Ordinance in St. Paul. I t stated the Ordinance had its First Reading on Dec. 13th by the City Council and a second and third reading was scheduled. Attorney Loftsgap~den recolnmended this Village Gouncil hold over Hardware Bid heiling 'Water Dept. Water Assessment Roberts Petition Planner Tom Lynch for Sewer Letter Regarding St. Paul Sewer Ord.
