<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting on the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly held in the city <br />Hall on the ninth day of April, 1990, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Johnson, Cushman, Thomas, <br />and Rog <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS NO. 8565 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR 1990 DISEASED TREE CONTRACT <br /> <br />Whereas, pursuant to advertisement for bids for the removal of diseased <br />trees according to the plans and specifications thereof on file in the <br />office of the Manager of said City, said bids were received on March 27, <br />1990, at 11:30 a.m., opened and tabulated according to law and the <br />following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />BIDDER UNIT PRICE TOTAL BID <br />A-I Walsh $8.58 per diameter inch $30,888 <br />Bluemiel $8.72 per diameter inch $31,392 <br />Bucks $8.74 per diameter inch $31,464 <br />precision $8.78 per diameter inch $31,608 <br />Ceres $9.45 per diameter inch $34,020 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears that A-1 Walsh Tree Service is the lowest <br />responsible bidder at the tabulated price of $30,888; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, Minnesota: <br /> <br />1. The Mayor and Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into a contract with A-1 Walsh Tree Service for $30,888 in the name <br />of the City of Roseville for the removal of diseased trees <br />according to the specifications thereof heretofore approved by the <br />City Council and on file in the office of the City Manager. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to return <br />forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids except <br />the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder <br />shall be retained until contracts have been signed. <br /> <br />The motion was seconded by Councilmember Maschka and upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Maschka, Johnson, <br />Cushman, Thomas, and Rog and the following voted against: None. <br />
