He explained when they saw the <br />128 proposed plan moved onto the golf course it was going to be something like two <br />129 hundred fifty -thousand -dollar expense to the golf course and they did not think the <br />130 benefit to the community was worth it. Clearly four stop signs at a couple hundred <br />131 dollars per sign versus two hundred fifty thousand dollars is a better economic trade <br />132 off. He explained the golf course is highly in favor of this and recommend it. <br />133 <br />134 Mr. Lawrance Bell, president of Midland Hills Golf Course, indicated they have <br />135 been working the Public Works Department on the entire street because a lot of the <br />136 water is coming from the street onto their catch ponds on the course. He explained <br />137 this does impose an expense on the golf course because they need to reconstruct a <br />138 part of the course that they just spent money on fixing in 2020. He asked that the <br />139 City consider the fact that the traffic at the intersection has decreased and is not a <br />140 dangerous intersection and there are about fourteen homes on the backside that <br />141 come outthere. He appreciated staff work on this project. <br />142 <br />143 Staff reviewed previous plans with the Commission with revisions that have been <br />144 made to mitigate the concerns of the golf course. <br />145 <br />146 Motion <br />147 Member Cicha moved, Member Hodder seconded, to recommend the City <br />148 Council to move forward with the current plan presented. <br />149 <br />150 Ayes:5 <br />151 Nays: 0 <br />152 Motion carried. <br />153 <br />154 The PWETC recessed at 8:05 p.m. and reconvened at 8:40 p.m. <br />155 <br />156 7. TH 36 Update <br />157 Assistant City Engineer Stephanie Smith presented the TH 36 update to the <br />158 Commission and asked for feedback. <br />159 <br />160 Vice Chair Mueller indicated she was glad this plan is touching on the <br />161 crossover/underpass at Dale because it is very dangerous going under Hwy 36. She <br />162 wondered what their thoughts are on this. She thanked staff for the presentation <br />163 and indicated if the Commission wanted more information the video can be seen <br />164 online. <br />165 <br />166 8. Lead Free Roseville <br />167 Public Works Director Jesse Freihammer explained the Minnesota Department of <br />168 Health is requiring all public water systems with over 10,000 services to document <br />169 what material the water service to the homes and businesses are made of.
