B. H. <br />Loftsgaarden, attorney; Milner Carley, Engirmer; and Frank Leinen, <br />treasurer; were also present. <br /> <br />" .....' <br /> <br />Frank Leinen gave the financial report for the year 1955. <br />Hammersten moved, Carlson seconded the report be accepted and placed <br />on file. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Wm. A. Reiling of 1727 Lindy asked this council what they were going <br />to do about the dirt that he states Ï'Ir. Krannak "stole" from the <br />roadway of Dionne St. <br />McGee moved, Salverda seconded that Carlson, McGee, the attorney, and <br />Engineer investigate the matter and report back in 2 weeks. Roll <br />Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />It was decided to have the clerk check with the St. Anthony Park <br />State Bank on the possibility of investing part of the money we have <br />on deposit there. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Carlson seconded the following banks be designated <br />for various funds. Roll Call Ayes (4)-Nayes (1). Carlson not voting. <br /> <br />MeGee moved, seconded by Salverda that R. A. Gearin of 2766 Ï'Ierrill <br />be appointed Village Attorney. Roll Call Ayes (3)-Nayes (2)- <br />Carlson and Hammersten opposed. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, seconded by Salverda that Milner Carley be appoint¡d <br />Village Engineer, at the pleasure of the Council. Roll CaÜ Ayes (5 - <br />Nayes (0). ~ <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Carlson seconded the appointments of the inspectors <br />be held over for further study. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Carlson seconded the road crew be appointed at the <br />pleasure of the Council, as their work has been satisfactory. <br />Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />McGee moved, Hanm~rsten seconded the new attorney look into the legal <br />implications of Local 49 acting as bargaining agent for the maintenance <br />crew.
