It is <br />being reviewed by many including the Suburban Rate Authority, of which Roseville is a <br />member. <br />o The City Engineers of Minnesota annual conference will be attended by Roseville staff later <br />this month. <br />Sustainability Updates: <br />o Sustainability Specialist Noelle Bakken cohosted a meeting on December 8 with Ramsey <br />County and city environmental staff from Maplewood, Shoreview, White Bear Lake, White <br />Bear Township, Lauderdale, and Saint Paul, to discuss 2024 initiatives. Featured speakers <br />were staff from MPCA and the Metropolitan Council to talk about the Carbon Pollution <br />Reduction Grant planning process and the Met Council's Regional Climate and Natural <br />Systems policy priorities. <br />o Ms. Bakken presented at Resilient Roseville's first "Sustainability for Busy People" series on <br />January 7 at the Roseville Library about Sustainability in the Kitchen. <br />Major Maintenance Activities: <br />o Street and Storm <br />• Completed first turning of fall leaves at the compost site. Staff manage 20,000 cy of <br />leaves at the site composting to 5,000 cy. <br />• Continued trimming/pruning of City boulevard trees. <br />• Weather conditions were perfect to allow for 3 anti -icing events. <br />• Continued maintenance/management of water break slurries at Ramsey County Kent <br />Street site. <br />• Continued storm sewer inspections and maintenance. <br />Water and Sanitary Sewer <br />• Continue to work with owners of private hydrants that are in need of repairs. <br />• Continuing inspections for water service line inventory. <br />• Repaired two water main breaks. <br />• Inspecting sanitary manholes for 2024 PMP. <br />• Continued underground locates, weekly lift station inspections, collection of water <br />samples, and replacing water meters and MIUs. <br />• Page 2 <br />Page 9 of 82 <br />
