March 7, 1985
MEMORANDUM
TO: Planning File 1563
The City Council, at its February 11, 1985 meeting, approved
Ashland Oil Company's application for special use permit and
variance to setback at 2172 Lexington Avenue. Condition number
three on that approval read as follows:
3. That the staff review the need for a fence on the north
Property line, adjacent to the apartment building, and
evaluate whether a species of tree other than the proposed
sugar maple should be used.
The staff, including Howard Dahlgren, has concluded that a
screening fence on the north property line is necessary. Gordy
Beseth will contact Ashland Oil and ask them to submit a plan for
the fencing to Mr. Dahlgren for review and approval. It was also
concluded that sugar maples could be used as part of the
landscaping plan.
