Department Approval: REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Manager Reviewed: DATE: 9/14/87 ITEM NO.:—J Agenda Section: Reports and recommendations Item Description: Request for noise ordinance variance for Centre Pointe construction project Imperial Developers which is the grading, excavating, and utility contractor for Woodbridge Properties has written letter regulationacity allowefornextended that a variance be granted to our noise ordinance hours of work on the Centre Pointe development project. The contractor is requesting a variance that would allow him to start work at 7:30 a.m. on Saturdays. During this morning period,he wsllrastor would exoavatin8estormaponds and utility pipes throughout the development performing grading work. The ordinance sets the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekdays and 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on weekends. A copy of the ordinance as well as the letter is attached.
