Department Approval: <br />Item Descripti <br />Manager Reviewed: <br />a Section: <br />Hearings <br />Brutger Companies request for Comprehensive <br />Plan Change from School to High Density <br />Residential and Low Density Residential, <br />rezoning from R-1 to R3-A, Special Use Permit <br />for a Planned Unit Development, and approval <br />of a Preliminary Plat at 2400 North Dale <br />Street. <br />The Roseville Planning Commission at its August 3, 1988 meeting <br />unanimously tabled consideration of this matter for up to 60 days <br />allow city staff to review the applicants traffic study, and <br />specifically address the issue of traffic impact on the school and <br />the fire station, to a]i.ow staff to review the water pressure <br />problems and the impact of this project on that problem, to allow <br />exploration of alternative plans with reduced density and better <br />transitions along the east property line adjacent to single family <br />and the Vietnamese temple, provision of directions on city housing <br />polici-?s concerning a need for this density of development, and on <br />the use of tax increment financing to assist this density o� <br />development, and review of alternate financing strategies for the <br />proposed recreation center. Therefore, Council consideration of <br />tabling this matter until September 12, 1988 would be in order. <br />If the Planning Commission has not acted on this matter at their <br />September 7, 1988 meeting, then the Council could again, continue <br />this matter until the October Planning Commission meeting. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />to <br />Motion to approve/deny continuing Brutger <br />Companies request for Comprehensive Plan <br />Change from School to High Density <br />Residential and Low Density Residential, <br />rezoning from R-1 to R3-A, Special Use <br />Permit for a Planned Unit Development, <br />and approval of a Preliminary Plat at <br />2400 North Dale Street until September <br />12, 1988. <br />
