1 <br />County Road B-2 is an east -west city arterial street running from Rime <br />Street east city limits) on the east crossing I-35W to the west city limits. <br />This roadway is a two-lane rural design facility with gravel shoulders <br />nnnirjg from Rice Street to Snelling Avenue and a four -lane urban design <br />1 facility with curb and gutter fran Snelling Avanue to I-35W. A 35 mile per <br />hour speed limit is posted with a 25 mile per hour school zone (when <br />1 children are resent speed limit posted in the vicinity of Center Park <br />present) <br />Elementary School. <br />Existing Traffic volumes <br />Manual Peak period turning movement counts were conducted by Barton-Aschman, <br />at the intersection of Dale Street at County B-2 at 7:00 to 9:00 A.M. on <br />July 26, 1988 and at the intersections of Dale Street at CR B-2 and Dale <br />Street at TH 36/Mi.nnesota Street 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. on July 5, 1988 (see <br />Appendix) . Ztsese counts were conducted during July which is considered a <br />high traffic volume month. This fact was verified in comparing the recent <br />Barton-Asdrman July 1988 traffic counts with the Ramsey County October 1987 <br />i <br />traffic counts contained in the Appendix. <br />Average daily traffic volume data was provided by MnDOT and Ramsey County on <br />Dale Street and CR B-2, Minnesota, CR C and TH 36 (Figure 3) . The manual <br />traffic its were conducted to determine direc.�tional distribution of <br />e Street and CR B-2 . The <br />traffic peak -hour turning volumes on Dal (Appendix) <br />existing A.M. and P.M. peak -hour traffic volumes are illustrated in Figure <br />5. <br />5 <br />
