The entirePproperty as currently guided "S Schoo.'L" on the
Comprehensive Plan and zoned R-I Single --Family Residential The focus of this fast step
is the process is to determine what changes may be appropriate in the Comprehensive Plan
and zoning map in light of Concordia's plans.
Since I met .with you, we have met with Randy Lowe and other representatives of the
school to review their hTture plans, We wanted to begin with a clear understanding of
fume how much of their land should be retained to accommodate their e needs. These
discussions have pointed out some areas where future athletic facilities will require more
-space than originally programmed.
We have also analyzed access and circulation opportunities, utfi ty considerations,
relationships with surrouuding land uses, the intensity and extent of highway noise, and
other factors that we normally evaluate as part of a land use study. We will present a
summary of this WorzDationn at the workshop meeting. Although this is not a public
hearing, Y believe that the City Council will not only discuss this matter, but also provide
some opportunity for comments and questions from both the Concordia and neighborhood
representatives. Please remember that this is not a public hearing and that. a public
he-tringwould be required to both amend the Comprehensive Plan and rezone the property,
if the City CouncU s chooses to change the land use and zoning on this land.
