0
CONCLUSIONS
While, the development of the Fuddruckers restaurant will result in additional
trips to the frontage road and to the intersection of the frontage road and
Snelling Avenue, the proposed realignment of the frontage road to improve
the intersection with Snelling Avenue will improve the safety and capacity
of the intersection so that the additional trips generated by the
restaurant will have no significant affect on the average vehicle delay at
this intersection. Based on the traffic analysis of the proposed
restaurant the following conclusions were reached.
• The peak hour of generation of the Fuddruckers restaurant occurs
between noon and 1:00 PM and between 6:00 and 7:00 PM when volumes
on Snelling Avenue are lower.
• The Fuddruckers restaurant would generate fewer PM peak hour trips
than an office development on this site.
• The site developer would make improvements to the alignment of the
frontage road at the intersection with Snelling Avenue to improve
safety and traffic flow at this intersection.
• There should be no impact to traffic flow on Snelling Avenue.
• There should be no significant impact to traffic operations at the
intersection of the frontage road and Snelling Avenue. There will
probably be some additional delay and queuing on the frontage road.
However the signal at Snelling and County Road C will create enough
gaps in the southbound Snelling Avenue traffic to allow traffic from
the frontage road to clear during every cycle, and the increased
delay and queuing would be minimal.
15
