0 0 Golden Age Health Care Center Managed by Good Neighbor Care Centers, Inc. 1415 West County Road 8 St. Paul, MN 55113 (612) 631-1616 February 5, 1985 Golden Age Health Care Center located at 1415 W. Co. Rd. B is considering the purchase of the single family dwelling at 1379 W. County Rd. B. We would like to use this house, with proper modifications, as a child daycare sight. We see an ever increasing need for high v_uality child care. Over ninety percent of our employees are women, most of them younger within child bearing age. Golden Age has affiliation with White House Health Care Center whose employ- ees have a similar make up and need. We see a Child Daycare center as being a great benefit to our employees and the inter - generational mixing effects have a wonderful impact on both our children and the aged of our home. The center would not be a profit oriented operation, rather then a strong program, afford- able and quality care oriented project. We have toured through the proposed sight the following: Bruce Ryden - Fire Marshal - Life Safety Gordon Beseth - Building Inspector Kent Reese - Sanitation Sally Goldberg - Department human Services - We have discussed the project with theseensinpeople and havetheir recommendations for modifications. We sponsored an open forum for the members of the com- munity at large, with invitations going out to the neighbors. The community response was extremely favorable. We are in continuing negotiations with Zimmerman Reality about the usage of the shared property between Golden Age and the Roseville Mall apartments. We have a commitment from them and that should be no problem in our expanding our park- ing lot from 45 spots to 62 spots. We have set aside money to do this project this spring. We: feel this shall allevi- ate our aggravation of the traffic and parking problem on Albert St. We also intend to modify the drive of the Day- care to facilitate ease in drop off and pick up. The staff at the Day Care would be able to park at the Nursing Home parking lot. We of course, plan to comply with all local, State, Fed- eral and life safety standards.
