REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION DATE: 9/09/85 <br />ITEM NO.: 6 _3 <br />Department Approval: Manager Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />Hearings <br />Item Description: Golden Age Nursing Home request for variance <br />to East side yard parking setback of five feet <br />as opposed to fifteen feet at 1415 County Road B. <br />The Golden Age Nursing Home is requesting modification to its <br />parking lot that would increase parking from the present forty- <br />three (43) cars up to sixty-five (65) cars, based on two <br />proposals that were submitted. <br />The Planning Commission, at its September 4, 1985 meeting, unanimously <br />approved the plan for angle parking that brought the increased number of <br />spaces to a total of fifty-eight (58). one of the conditions of the motion <br />reduced the spaces eventually to fifty-seven (57). <br />The second plan as presented was not deemed appropriate, and was <br />denied by the Planning Commission. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion approving/denying variance of ten feet regarding the side yard <br />parking requirement for Plan I as submitted (and if Council desires, <br />delete one parking space on the southeastern part of the parcel as <br />recommended by the Planning Commission.) <br />
