Jim Andre, City Manager
2660 Civic Center Drive
Roseville, MN 55113
Re: PLANNING FILE 1481-
Dear Jim,
2136 Cohansey Boulevard
Roseville MN 55113
March 26, 1984
-1
c7 64 q
P<-0PC,
The Housing Alliance request for
amendment to the Comprehensive
plan at 500 County Road B.
This letter has been addressed to all members on the Roseville City
Council and the City Planning Commission.
As neighbors of the proposed senior citizens high rise at 500 County
Road B, we are very concerned that the project be developed properly
and that it meet the needs not only of the residents, but also of
existing property owners.
We have concerns about the design and landscaping of the project. We
believe any development should fit the character of the neighborhood
and should not disadvantage surrounding property owners. The proposed
84 foot high structure clearly does not fit in an area of single family
homes. It is evident that a building of this height would shade the
property,of several homes in the area. In addition, the existing berm
and other landscaping will not sufficiently buffer neighbors from a
building of this size.
Like most of our neighbors, we favor the development of a responsibly
planned and developed project. We recognize the value of this type of
facility, and believe that, if properly implemented, such a facility
would be an asset to Roseville and to our neighborhood.
Regards,
hohlntadCheryl Dittrich
cc: Jim Andre, City Manager
