We will be attending that meeting along with the
developer in order to present the plan to the City Council. Mr. Dahlgren has asked
that we include a proposed time schedule for the tax increment process in this
letter which was also discussed with your staff at the July 11th meeting:
1. July 23 - City Council sets public hearing.
2. Week of July 23 - Copies of the tax increment plan sent to the school
district, county and Planning Commission for review.
3. September 5 - Planning Commission hearing at which the Commission finds
that the Plan is in conformance with the comprehensive plan.
4. September 10 - Public hearing and City Council meeting at which resolutions
are passed approving the development and tax increment districts and
requesting that the County Auditor certify the tax increment district.
Concurrently with the tax increment process will be the preparation of the
development agreement and other administrative tasks associated with the soil
correction.
