The Roseville Planning Commission at its October 5, 1998 meeting unanimously recommended approval of a comprehensive plan amendr,ent to change the land use designation of the site from school to ;ark, higt±'; density residential and business. The commission also unanimously recommended approvai of a rezoning of a portion of the site from R-1 to R-3A, B-3 and B-1 in accordance with the plan dated October 5, 1988. The Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of the preliminary plat with the condition that the applicant enter into an agreement with the City concerning the provision of a police liaison officer, the possibility of tax increment financing for a multi -family _ development on the site and to provide .for the City acquisition of approximately 1 acre for the park. To facilitate the acquisition of the park property from the different parties, it would be appropriate for the Council to add a condition on the preliminary plat approval that the plat be amended to show the park land divided into three 1 acre parcels. COUNCIL ACTIONS REQUESTED: Motion to approve/deny Gerald Kaufhold's request for a comprehensive plan amendment from school to park, high density residential ar,1 business. Motion to approve/deny approval of an ordinance rezoning a portion of the property from R-1 to R-3A, B-3 and B-1 in accordance with the plan dated October 5, 1988. Motion to approve/deny the preliminary plat with the aforementioned conditions if so desired. Motion to schedule a hearing on the final plat for November 14, 1988.
