Powell, District Superintendent 633 West Larpenteur • St. Paul, Minnesota 55113 0 612-489-1391 May 1985 The Northwestern District Office of The Christian and Missionary Alliance is one of 19 regional offices and covers the states of Minnesota, eastern North Dakota, eastern South Dakota, central and northern Wisconsin, and Upper Michigan. We are an evangelical group with our means of grace being personal faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We have 20 churches in the Twin City area. We are presently leasing property on the corner of Dale and Larpenteur Avenue. We have taken an option to purchase the property on Garden and Lexington Avenue for the purpose of erecting a new district office. This necessitates the re -zoning of the property from residential to Limited Business Land Use or B-1. Having received a favorable reaction from the surrounding neighbors, we have engaged an architectural firm who has de- signed a one -floor building of 5300 square feet contempo..ry with the area. At present there are five people who regularly work in the office. There- fore the traffic in and out during the day is minimal. Administrative COmmitL!e8 meet three times a year. This would increase our need for parking on these days to 12 spaces. The description of the land is: The East 203.7 feet of the south 1/8 of the Northeast of the Southwest '3 except the North 67 feet of the East 178 feet of the Northh of the South � of said quarter, Section 15, Township 29, Range 23, containing .74 acres more or less.
