Powell, District Superintendent <br />633 West Larpenteur o St. Paul, Minnesota 55113 a 612-489-1391 <br />May 16, 1985 <br />Roseville Planning Commission <br />2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Roseville, Minnesota 55113 <br />Dear Planning Cummissioners: <br />We are asking for re -zoning of the property at the northwest corner of <br />Lexington and Garden from residential to Limited Business, B-1, for the <br />purpose of constructing a district office for our denomination, The Chris- <br />tian and Missionary Alliance. <br />The number of personnel working at our office is five. Therefore, we would <br />have only five cars maximum for staff and there would possibly be four to <br />seven people coming to our office on a daily routine. We have three com- <br />mittee meetings per year where there would be eight additional automobiles <br />for one day. It will not be a busy corner because of us. <br />We would of course do everything in our power to keep a low profile in the <br />community and to be very cooperative with any programs. <br />Our district office serves approximately 110 churches, 70 of which are in <br />Minnesota. The others are in Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, and <br />the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. <br />We believe it would make a contribution to the community rather than be- <br />coming a liability.
