METROPOLITAN RECOVERY CORPORATION
February 6, 1985
Mr. James F. Andre
City Manager
City of Roseville
2660 Civic Center Drive
Roseville, Minnesota 55068
Dear Mr. Andre:
Enclosed is the Metropolitan Recovery Corporation application for
subdivision, rezoning and special use authorization to enable the
development of the Central Treatment and Recovery Facility at Rose
Place and Walnut Street in Roseville. The application has been
developed to conform with the City Council's action of December 5th,
calling for the rezoning of the Facility site to I-2a.
We are submitting these requests in combination to provide the
Commission and the Council with all necessary documentation.
To help you understand our development schedule, I enclose our current
timetable indicating a Spring 1986 construction start and the timing
of related technical, financial, market and regulatory tasks which
must preceed construction.
We feel that this project is important and necessary to the local
economy and we believe that our area will benefit in future jobs and
industrial cost containment by having the vision to provide a safe,
environmentally sound, local industry owned facility to manage industrial
waste material. We will be a good neighbor and have been working with
our surrounding companies to reduce any impacts that can be anticipated.
To assist the review of.this application, a summary of the technical
information will be provided shortly.
Please contact Dick Nowlin (835-3800) or me (298-4872) for additional
information and to discuss specific issues and questions. The City's
expeditious consideration to this application is respectfully requested.
Thanks for your assistance and cooperation.
Sincerely, J
.
