4 <br />t <br />0 0 <br />METROPOLITAN RECOVERY CORPORATION <br />May 10, 1985 <br />Mr. Don Madore < <br />Metropolitan Waste Control Commission <br />St. Paul, Minnesota , <br />RE: Benchmark (05) <br />Dear Mr. Madore: <br />We submit the .following benchmark progress report to supplement <br />and update the MRC Status Report and Workplan. <br />SITING <br />The Roseville City Council unanimously approved the MRC <br />application for rezoning, special use permit and subdivision for <br />the Rose Place site on March 11. <br />MRC made an installment payment of $20,000 to Burlington Northern <br />Railroad in early April bringing the total of nonrefundable <br />committed funds to $70,000. <br />FINANCING <br />Substantial progress has been made toward finalizing the MRC/CECOS <br />joint venture and operating contracts; however, certain points <br />require further negotiation. N.RC is awaiting the award of the <br />second $50,000 grant from the Waste Management Board (WMB) upon <br />completion of the contract negotiations. <br />MARKET PENETRATION <br />Norstan Summit Gear, Inc., 3131 N. Vicksburg Ln., Plymouth, MN <br />55447, has recently contracted with MRC bringing the total number <br />of participants to 31. Rosemount, Inc. and The Donaldson Co., <br />Inc. have expressed interest in the CT/RF project and discussions <br />are going on concerning possible participation. Benchmark Report <br />03 reported discussions with ADC Telecommunications (formerly ADC <br />Magnetic Controls) concerning potential participation in the <br />CT/RF project. These discussions have since dropped off. <br />Outstate market activity consists of ongoing research to identify <br />generators and c:etermine potential levels of CT/RF participation. <br />
