Belair Builders request for amendment to the MGR. REVIEWED/RECOMMENDS: <br />comprehensive plan at 1912 Lexington. <br />The Planning Commission, at its October 3, 1984 meeting, recommended on a 4-Aye, <br />3-Nay vote, approval of Belair Builders request for amendment to the comprehensive <br />plan from limited business and residential to general business, and rezoning from <br />R-1 to B-2, and from B-1 to B-2 at 1912 Lexington. <br />The Planning Commission also recommended on a 4-Aye, 1-Nay, 1-Abstention vote, approval <br />- of Belair Builders request for vacation of roadway easements and 6.5 foot variance tQ <br />front yard parking setback at 1912 Lexington, with the following conditions: <br />1) That a solid brick wall be constructed to screen the trash area, and that <br />the trash enclosure be roofed. <br />2) That the exterior building material be brick on all four sides. <br />3) That appropriate landscaping be provided and that landscaping be <br />reviewed by city staff and the neighbors. <br />4) That the project be developed according to plans dated 9/4/84. <br />Although the Planning Commission took action on both the amendment to the <br />comprehensive plan and the rezoning, the City Council may only take action on <br />the amendment to the comprehensive plan at this time. Action cannot be taken <br />on the rezoning until the Metropolitan Council has reviewer the comprehensive <br />plan amendment. <br />Attached is the Planner's report. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: Motion approving/denying Belair Builders request for <br />amendment to the comprehensive plan from limited <br />business and residential to general business at <br />1912 Lexington. <br />
