Singe the Grand Opening, F t, M has made Lavery attempt to comply <br />with the city ordinances which impact upon the store's operation. <br />However, an issue has recently arisen regarding F & M's disposal, of <br />waste in a dumpster located behind F & ?Vs buklding. <br />The City of Roseville recently contacted F 4 M's Landlord and indicated <br />that outdoor storage of waste materials is not allow -A at the Rosedale <br />Marketplace Shopping Center. The City has indicated that outdoor <br />storage of wastC was not provided for in the development plan €submitted <br />to the City prior to the construction of the center. immediately upon <br />being notified of the City's position regarding the outdoor storage of <br />waste materials, !~ & tj made temporary arrangeMents to store all waste <br />materials incide the demised premises. <br />However, storage of winvto materials within the interior of the premises <br />will prove to be extremely difficult, if not imposvible. As a retailer <br />specializing in the sale of Odeeply discounted" merchandise, F & M <br />needs to generate: a large volume of sales in order to ensure economic <br />viability. As such, F & P discards art extremely large amount of card- <br />board boxed and other packaging materials. '.Chi€: store is simply not <br />designed for the storag( of h ath merchandise and waste material. <br />In light of the hardship that will be imposed upon F & M as a result of <br />the manda-ed removal of outdoor storage dumpcter:s, F & M desires to <br />apply for a vaeiance. <br />2UM &JVj4%*X= .
