14. That the compactor on the north side of anchor A be screened <br />by a 10 ft. screen wall. The wall material should be similar <br />to the exterior materials of the building. <br />15. At least two public handicap accessible restrooms be provided <br />for the center. <br />The City Council, on February 13, 1989 continued this matter until <br />March 16, 1989 to allow further study of ways to better integrate <br />this project into the area and provide better connections to <br />existing development to the south. The staff and Howard Dahlgren <br />has met with the developers a number of times since the February 13 <br />meeting to develop alternatives. The developer has submitted a <br />revised proposal which would provide pedestrian access between the <br />proposed new shopping center and the existing restaurants to the <br />south. The developer would provide a walkway through the shopping <br />center, a crosswalk across the service drive on the south side of <br />the building and an easement for a public sidewalk would be provided <br />along the south edge of the site. A revised site plan and copies of <br />Howard Dahlgren's notes are attached for your review. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: Motion to approve/deny Rosedale <br />Marketplace Associate's request for <br />rezoning from 1-1 to ®-4 at 2401 Fairview <br />Avenue. <br />Motion approving ordinance rezoning <br />proporty at 2401 Fairview Avenue from 1-1 <br />to B-A. <br />Motion to approve special use permits for <br />site plan approval and a planned unit <br />development at 2401 Fairview Avenue with <br />the aforementioned conditions if so <br />desired. <br />
