RETAINING WALL
Test borings that were done by Twin City testing in the area of the
proposed retaining wall indicated soils consistent for the area which is
rubble fill over good sands.
Lowell Wenzel, of Rehder-Wenzel, Inc. Consulting Engineers & Land
Surveyors has indicated the hill can be contained by a combination of a
timber retaining; wall in the areas where the wall does not exceed 6-8
feet, and in the steeper areas PZ 27, very stiff., steel sheet pilingcould be
used. Please refer to enclosed diagrams as to how these would be constructed.
An exact structural design of this wall will be determined by the struct-
ural engineer and after obtaining a number of bids.
Eachmanns has recommended creeping vines to be planted at the base
of the retaining walls. (See landscape plan.)
