MASLON
RETIRED
I am enclosing a letter from the Deputy Examiner of Titles
for Ramsey County.
When we spoke last week, I explained that we have brought
a proceeding subsequent before the Examiner of Titles to clear
up certain title matters prior to our closing on the property.
We anticipate the closing will take place between February 15
and February 22nd. I also explained that completing this pro-
ceeding prior to that date is essential because our lender will
not accept the condition of title unless these matters are re-
solved. I believe I also told you that time was of the essence
because the entire procedure will take nearly 30 days from com-
mencement to completion. In other words, we need the preliminary
report referenced in Manley's letter immediately.
Apparently, the notice which you furnished to Ramsey County
was unacceptable. They need a resolution in the form which
Roseville intends to pass. That resolution apparently should
set forth the names of the streets to be vacated and any other
public utility easements to be vacated. This is all in his
letter.
They understand that this resolution will not be adopted,
if it is adopted at all, until February llth, so I would urge
you to prepare a resolution which clearly states that it is
"draft" or "to be adopted".
