I also note
that bore holes for soil testing has been made in two areas five and six
feet from my property line. I find that building this close to the _prop—
erty line is intolerable for the following reasons;
Problem #1
Water Five feet does not allow for proper drainage of this property.
Even as the property now stands, it was necessary for me to place
a curb on our drivewayto ,prevent water from the frontier property
over running our property. I n(ite the intention of draining to
the South from the back of the building but this will be of little
value after compaction of snow from plowing through the winter —
come the spring run off, nor does it i:ermit of proper drainage
from the snow that drifts in on the side of the building.
Problem 1Y2
Maintenance Five feat from the property lot line will not permit of
building- repairs and mak"6enance.
Problem ;3
Snow Removal The builderhas made no allowance for snow removal or
storage. (please keep in ,hind there are four to five mon$t each.
year that we must remove snow off of the drives and parking areas.)
As you can see by the site description the only practical way to
plow for a large part of the area will be from South to North. In
so doing, how will they pile up 10 to 15 feet mountains of ,snow in
a five foot area??? This is bound to spill over onto my, driveway
and parking areas and cause interference with the use of my property
To avoid this, they must leave at least 20' on both the front and
rear parking areas on the North side of their lot adjoining mine
for Snow Depository., (See area on site plan that I have marked in
red). If thisdepository area is not sufficient, the snow will have
to be bucketed out or glowed in other directions to avoid damaging
my property and the use thereof.
Problem 4
e eyt, access, visibility, esthetic appearance The city ordinance
states the the building should be no closer to the adjoining
property than 10 Feet. Tile ordinance was created for Fire Dept.
access in erase of need, for visibility of the properties, and for
esthetic value as well as all of the reasons I have stated above.
