REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Department Approval: Manager Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />�j I Report and Recommendation <br />Item Description: Gerald Backhaus request for a shoreline <br />building permit and shoreline setback variance <br />at 699 Heinel Circle. <br />Mr. Backhaus is requesting a shoreline building permit at 699 Heinel <br />Drive to allow him to add a 6 foot by 24 foot addition on the west <br />side of the existing dwelling. The addition will not extend beyond <br />the rear of the existing dwelling but because the dwelling is at an <br />angle to the lake, the corner of the addition would be 4 feet closer <br />to the lake than the existing dwellir,. The addition will be 52 <br />feet from the shoreline which is 23 r :: less than the required 75 <br />feet. Therefore, a variance is nece•�;pry. <br />Mr. Dahlgren has reviewed the proposal and found it to be <br />acceptable. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: Motion to approve/deny Gerald Backhaus' <br />request for a shoreline building permit <br />and setback variance zt 699 Heinel <br />circle. <br />
