May 5, 1989
Rick Jopke
Planning and Zoning Administrator
City of. Roseville
2660 Civic Center Drive
Roseville, MN 55113
Dear Mr. Jopke:
I would ask that the Minor Variance Committee and City of Roseville
grant a minor variances for the driveway of my have located at
1048 West RoselawnAvenue. Enclosed are the forms you require for
the application, signatures fran neighbors and check #1194 in the
amount of $25.00.
I am requesting a 516" minor variance of my driveway which enters
from Oxford. The existing driveway is 331611 wide, the city code
is 261, and with your permission, I plan to repave my driveway
at a width of 31'6".
As the enclosed diagram indicates, the length of my driveway is very
short (only 331), and a driveway only 26' wide would not allow
total access to my two -car garage if a car were parked in the driveway.
Denial of this rrdnor variance would force us to park vehicles on the
street on a daily basis. Like me and my neighbors, I believe the city
would favor off-stree' parking.
Also, I would like the paving contractor to bid on repaving my driveway.
Please tell him of my interest in receiving a bid to ccncpare with those
I currently have.
Thank you for your thoughtful consideration of my request for a minor
variance for my driveway. Please notify me of your decision to grant
the variance as soon as it is reached.
Sincerely,
Michael J.
